The Leigh-on-Sea Branch of the Royal British Legion upholds the aims that Remembrance is kept alive and that the sacrifices our brave Service men and women have made are never forgotten and that the ex-Service community has a voice to air its concerns. Membership is open to everyone and the Branch meets at 8pm every 3rd Monday of the month (except January) at the Moose Hall in Cranleigh Drive, Leigh on Sea (SS9 2SY) where members get together to participate in social, fundraising and welfare activities.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission ensures that 1.7 million people who died in the two world wars will never be forgotten. We care for cemeteries and memorials at 23,000 locations, in 154 countries. Our values and aims, laid out in 1917, are as relevant now as they were almost 100 years ago.
