Nurses, Writers, Poets and Performers

We had a wonderful day at Bournemouth Park Primary School on Friday 19th January filming Year 4's WW1 performances of poetry and music. With thanks to all their lovely staff and students for all their hard work. We also really enjoyed hearing what the pupils had made of the Southend Schools Festival of Remembrance project.

The children have been learning from writer Lizzie Page about how to research about the people who experienced World War 1. Lizzie is currently writing a trilogy about two WW1 nurses for bookouture and brought in some wonderful photographs of these two incredible women who have inspired her.
