Southend Museum has some fantastic resources for schools and families to take advantage of when looking at both local history and family history. They have a raft of period items and source material that is offered at very reasonable rates to local schools. The museum also has memory boxes that can be hired by schools and local organisations and contain some lovely period themed collections.
